Country Road Quilters Ruby Jubilee Quilt Show

CRQ is had its Ruby Jubilee quilt show Friday and Saturday. I did enter a few things...if you were in the Ocala area, I hope you stopped by the Circle Square Commons in On Top of the world to see my quilts and some fabulously beautiful works of art from all of my quilty friends... The first photo is the guild's "Together Apart" in which all the guild members made 6" squares and sent them to a former member, Richard, who assembled the blocks into the lovely quilt during Covid.
We'd meet in Joanns parking lot once a month. (My square is the first square i ever made, the bear paw second from the right in the top row...thank you Richard!!) ... my "Ode to Freda Jones" is as close to a miniature quilt as I will probably ever get...and our dear Freda, who sadly passed away recently, was the absolute Queen of miniature quilts.
My Parisian quilt, named Madelyn Rose's J'adore, received a ruby ribbon as I am a first time displayer at our guilds show. This was made for my great niece Madelyn's 16th birthday....she's now 17...( 😉 )
The Sunflowers on point was just a fun bright table centerpiece/wallhanging that I HAD to make.
And many thanks to my families...DiBiasio and Thomas's who were able to get me both my father in law's quilt of Valor (presented by the Ocklawaha DAR in 2018..which started my journey on making QOV..) and my brother's Quilt of Valor that I was able to get presented to Jim during Covid in 2020. Those are the last two photos.
So now that the show is over, I can finally get back to "normal"....whatever that is, lol. I can hopefully clean up and organize my sewing room so I can easily find whatever I need. I hope to be able to clean out my closet too.... With that, I leave you with some eye candy from our show.....
I do know some incredibly talented quilty friends!!!! Until next time....stay crafty my friends!!! Beth
